Meet the Owner of Cactus Quilt Shop
Meet Lisa Ellis--the current owner of Cactus Quilt Shop! Lisa has been a hobby quilter for over 25 years and loves the wonderful community of quilters--they are such a caring and friendly group of people. Lisa has been living in Tucson AZ since October 2018. Lisa has a business background and started her career as a CPA. She has spent many years working in and with small businesses in many industries. This year, she is thrilled to be welcoming her first grandbaby in July! Lisa's husband and business partner is Carl Ellis--you may see him in the shop installing shelves or taking a break from his remote work in the back office as a mechanical engineer for Roche Tissue Diagnostics. Lisa is so excited to connect with quilters from all over--in person and virtually. Welcome to Cactus Quilt Shop!
Who We Are
Cactus Quilt Shop is a long standing Tucson area brick & mortar store under new ownership. CQS in the 21st century will be adding a shop-able website and social media sales soon so watch this space for updates! We have team of dedicated quilt enthusiasts who love to help you find that perfect fabric or tool. We will be offering classes regularly and hope to eventually film classes for digital downloads for our virtual quilting friends!
Our History
Cactus Quilt Shop was founded in 1997 by Nancy Landon--an award winning and highly respected quilter. She operated the shop for 24 years when she decided to retire and handed the reins to Lisa Ellis. Under Lisa's ownership, the shop has moved to a larger space with lots of room for classes as well as long arming services.
