How you prep your quilt does impact the finished product.  Please follow the requirements below for the best outcome possible for your quilt.  Thank you!

• Be sure your top is as square as possible and all seams are pressed.  You are welcome to use the tables in our classroom whenever there is no event scheduled.
• The backing fabric must be NO LESS than 4 inches and NO GREATER than 6 inches larger than the quilt top on ALL four sides!  
• • For example, if your quilt is 60x70, your back needs to be 68x78.
• The batting needs to be NO LESS than 2 inches and NO GREATER than 3 inches larger than the quilt top on ALL four sides!
• • For example, if your quilt is 60x70, your batting needs to be 66x76
  • If you purchase batting on the roll from Cactus Quilt Shop, we will trim your batting to the correct size at no additional charge.
• Quilts NOT meeting any of the above standards will be charged $25 per item to make them ready for quilting plus additional materials if backing and batting are too small.
