Joyce Holley who teaches for us and is a Certified Studio 180 Instructor has planned a wonderful event that Cactus Quilt Shop is super excited to be co-hosting with her.
On Saturday, February 10, we will host a Super Bowl Pre Game Quilt Event! Earlier this week, the "Coaches" gathered and cut out 490 8-1/2" squares from batik samples donated by a fabric rep. These are enough squares for 12 quilts. They will be cutting the back ground squares in time for the game to begin on the 10th!
Sign up on line or in shop and assist in this great cause. Sign ups are not required but will help us make sure we have space for everyone to assist.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national organization dedicated to getting children off the floor and sleeping in beds. The quilts we make will be donated to the organization so that they can give them to kids to sleep under a handmade quilt with their bed.
